Third international African Welding Federation Conference Successfully concluded yesterday.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – The Third Annual Meeting and International Conference of the African Welding Federation has officially concluded, marking a major milestone in the continent’s effort to enhance industrial capabilities through regional collaboration and innovation.

Held under the theme “Empowering Africa: Strengthening Welding Capabilities for Regional Integration and Global Competitiveness,” the high-level event brought together key stakeholders from across Africa to address challenges in the welding sector and explore solutions that drive industrial growth.

The conference was organized through a partnership between WAFA Marketing and Promotion and the Federal Institute of Technical and Vocational Education and Training, under the sponsorship of Ethiopia’s Federal Ministry of Labor and Skills. The conference drew the attendance of high-ranking dignitaries including Ethiopia’s Minister of Water and Energy Dr. Habtamu Itefa, President of the African Welding Federation Professor Mohamed Abdel-Alim, State Minister of Labor and Skills Dr. Teshele Berrecha, and Director General of the Technical and Vocational Training Institute Dr. Broke Kedir, alongside other senior government officials, diplomats, and international guests.
